Born before her full term
Now she's learning how to squirm
Her shoe is a size zero
I hope I can be her hero

When I say "hello"
she looks at me with her great big brown eyes
And says to me "I know"

When I grow older and she does too
I hope she remembers me as she did when she was "2"

I know I can never tell when her last day will be
But I know that I have very fond memories of my niece
And I know that I have only one chance in my life to take what I have
So I cherish each day as though it is our last

Everyday I look at her and think
